GO GREEN!

ECO-FRIENDLY PAPER & INKS

Rapid Recycling, Inc. and Small Associates have been working together since 2003 to help the environment and keep paper out of our landfill. In that short period of time they have recycled approximately 70 tons of paper. This material was retrieved from Small Associates in a voluntary and free recycling program. Both companies have committed themselves to “keeping it green”. Once the paper is removed from Small Associates, it is taken to Rapid Recycling’s facility where it is baled and processed and then taken to a paper mill, where they re-pulp, break down fibers and reprocess to make recycled paper products, such as paper plates, cups, and paper towels.

Small Associates recycles offcuts from every print job, averaging 20 tons per year in recycled paper.  Our house paper consists of over 50% recycled content.  Clients interested in 100% recycled paper may request it at time of order.

Eco-friendly inks are also available and used upon client requests. Contact us for information and pricing.

Paper Recycling Facts

While it is estimated that paper makes up an average of 42% of the waste stream, this percentage may be as high as 70-80% when coming from an office.

The average office person generates nearly one pound of mixed office paper each day.

Americans throw away enough office paper each year to build a 12-foot high wall of paper from New York to Los Angeles.

Recycling one ton of paper saves 17 trees, 2.5 barrels of oil and 7,000 gallons of water.

Depending on the type of paper manufactured, 23-74% less energy is needed to produce recycled paper than is needed to make virgin paper.

Recycling one ton of paper saves over 3 cubic yards of landfill space.

If every American recycled their Sunday newspaper, we would save 500,000 trees every week.

The average American throws out their own weight in packaging every month.
